ok this shall be a happy post cos it's my birthday!! Actually, I don't feel much different from the other 364 days in the year. Other than the fact that you get nice presents and nice greetings and feel happier. ok fine. quite alot of difference.had dance chalet yesterday! so fun!! hahaha. i got covered in smoke actually. but still, we got to hang out and BOND. hahaha. oh yea. love the marshmallows!! ROAStED!!! We had a problem with the fire-starting. We ended up asking for help. However, my ah ma was so hard-working and perservering. hahaha. Then we played twister while help was here. I really got twisted up. Today:woke up to 2 sms-es. hahaha. so funny. Thanks celeste and Jieyi for your sweet messages!! I'm especially touched that you remember!! hhahah. i thought that only my sis would remember. cos it's actually circled in red (by moi) on her calender. So i set out to meet my Ah ma at Dhoby Ghaut. She looks so sweet in her skirt and pumps. hairband and everything. So we went to eat breakfast(the super cheap one) at macs. My ah ma wanted to be hip and bought star earrings. so cute!! hahah. Then met up with the rest at Chinatown to buy souvenirs. Everything was like 3 for $10!!! such a great buy!! In the end, i bought a paper-holder (mother), a name card-holder (Father), a dolphin mobile phone holder (Host). All for just 10 bucks!! hahaha. Headed off to get a drink and realized that we walked into a trap!! A bottle of coke for $2.50. Total rip-off!!! Oh we saw some really nice metallic plates with the merlion and stuff printed on it. So there were many designs and like 12 plates on display. Ah ma:" I count to 3 we point to the one we like ok. 1...2...3!" Both: (point to the exact same plate...and laugh hysterically) The sun was practically seeping through our skin and melting all of us so we decided to leave for bugis to look for leg warmers. We wanted to grab a bite first and geraldine the geek knew somewhere nice. We ordered chicken wings and milk tea. And to our amazement, they've ran out of their wings. While walking aimlessly, we saw the beautiful leg warmers, white and quite presentable. $15.90 a pair. And guess what? the salesperson went to buy lunch and will be back in god-knows-how-long. Being hungry and pissed, we went to Macs (again). Afraid that they would've ran out of Mcwings too, we ran there. Ate like hungry but tired ghosts, rushed back to grab our leg warmers. WHAT NEXT? They only left 1 pair of white ones and the grey one too. like I've totally given up on everything. By that time, we were dead beat from all the walking so we decided to ask my mum to the rescue. She picked us up and we went to United Sq. to look for what we want. But it ended up even worse. The so-called shop had only one pair of pathetic-looking leg warmers (i've typed this word a kazillion times i wanna puke). Watched dora the explorer, ate BnJ's and got off to Vivo (which was sorta like our last hope). The only lucky thing that happened to me in the whole day: we found them (you-know-what). so we saw a scarf and a funny-looking hat which looked okay on me too. saw the stockings too. the thick beige ones. OUT-OF-STOCK. >:/I'VE GOT NOTHING TO SAY. went to Asian Kitchen with geraldine's mum and ate something other than macs the whole day. so it was quite a meaningful day, i guess. i feel alot closer to my ahma than ever before. we were still wondering how our friendship began. hahah. eating dinner, shopping and spending a whole day with her is so amusing, but fun!! oh yea thanks for your present!! super nice!!
